About Me
Hiya! Nice to meet you. I am a designer from Dorset, UK, currently living in Düsseldorf, Germany. I am deeply passionate about branding and art direction, and I really enjoy bringing a product to life, giving a brand personality and telling unique stories. I describe myself as a visual communicator - not only the title of my degree, but because my most valuable asset is being able to turn an idea, a feeling, or a mind map of properites into a vision, and delivering an outcome that effectively and beautifully communicates that vision.
I’m a Visual Communication graduate, class of 2023, from Arts University Bournemouth. During my time at university I have enjoyed projects in branding, art direction, animation, video editing, editorial and book design, photography, illustration and more. Throughout my degree, I have participated in various live briefs and engaged with competitions such as ISTD, The RSA and D&AD, the latter in which I was fortunate enough to win a yellow pencil for a product design/ packaging/ branding project, in response to a brief set by THE Penguin Books. They had an overwhelmingly positive reaction to our submission, and I was lucky enough to be invited to Penguin HQ in London to see their incredible operation and discuss all things brand and book.
I have been freelancing since 2020. I have worked with a range of clientele from lots of different industries - from men’s skincare and beauty salons, to paddleboard accessories, to community non-profits - and had the chance to complete a huge range of projects. Mostly, I work with small businesses to build their brand identity - incorporating intentional visual design with the building blocks for a unique, well established brand presence.
Previously, I had the oppertunity to work at SoPost as a marketing designer. I assisted with executing their recent brand refactor across assets such as web, social media, presentation decks for clients and merchandise. I have also been lucky enough to be part of projects working closely with some of SoPost’s most exciting clientele; I was given the task of designing prospect sample packaging for Dior - this included some of their most iconic products and perfumes. This project was part of an RFP and I was lucky enough to have senior members of the Dior team see my work (and give excellent feedback!).
I have also worked with Vocal Star Karaoke as Social Media Executive, creating brand guidelines, social media posts, signage and merchandise. I shot, directed, edited and posted to all social media platforms, including Instagram and TikTok. I have also been lucky enough to have been given the opportunity for a work experience placement at BlueMarlin, London, during which I was able to learn and experience how one of the top brand agencies operates, and I was able to be part of decks for huge brands. I have also completed an experience placement at The Potting Shed, Guernsey, the biggest design agency on the island with worldwide clientele.
Other than a passion for design, I love music, theatre, beauty/skincare, and travelling. Recently I have also developed a keen interest in interior design too! I love being creative, and always have some sort of project going on :)
